Yes, it is possible to have 2 pets. However, players that use the bank obtain a bonus that allows them to have up to 6 pets for now.

On your profile, if you click on the magnifying glass next to your pet, you can choose the pet you want to show on your profiles, see how much each pet brings you in FA/day, unlock new pet spots, go to the pet shop, etc.
