Background:
Levi was born in Montreal to a single mother who waitressed by day and danced in a small cabaret at night. He never knew his father, only that he was “the kind of man who disappears,” and that Levi was better off without him. His mother, Juliette, was magnetic, sharp-tongued, fiercely protective, and utterly incapable of stability. They moved constantly: apartments above nail salons, basement studios with leaking pipes, one brief stint in a commune outside Portland. Levi learned to lie early, mostly to reassure her. Naira built her empire selling to the streets and elite alike. The Callaros backed her rise which also by design has her being a part of the mob. Naira’s drugs were in Delia’s system. She swears it wasn’t her doing but she’s making power plays. She runs her business like a corporation and doesn’t like being blamed for someone else’s mess.

He’s observant, calculated, but his choices are starting to tilt emotional. He says he doesn’t get attached. But he always returns to the same bar. Always drives Mari home safe. Always keeps one cassette in the tape deck.

Jaylen grew up in a South Florida foster system, bounced between group homes and temporary families until he learned to rely on speed and silence to survive. A stint in juvie at seventeen put him on a watchlist.

He doesn’t like being lied to and lately, he feels surrounded by lies. Pragmatic. Grounded. Wary. Rafael doesn’t make loud entrances or big speeches. He’s the kind of man who leaves a room with more than he came in with information, leverage, blueprints. He’s not a people person, but he’s not cold. There’s warmth there, under the engine grease and quiet suspicion, just rarely on display.
Rafael’s garage is the place where the family’s toys are born: guns hidden in dashboards, tracking systems embedded in cufflinks, cars fitted for heists or getaways or ambushes. It’s half-shop, half-sanctuary.
He doesn’t run with the soldiers, but he arms them. Doesn’t make the calls, but he hears all of them. And that puts him in a position no one quite knows how to handle: quiet, peripheral, and always watching. His loyalty is to structure, systems, tools, predictability. People? That’s murkier.
