Yes, it's super quiet here. I saw your post in the Meetup thread. There are a lot of us here. Most play like you've been doing. Not much forum chatter. The site is still pretty brand new. The forum is getting better slowly but surely.

*tackle hug* Just seeing your name brought a smile to my face, Girly! ♥ Yes, I'm a Mod here. I've been a Mod here for 3 years, so you're just a little behind in finding out. LOL Have a great weekend!!

MissMelinda , - 2/11/2014 02:05 :

Missing you dear friend!! I hope life is treating you well; you are such a sweet lady!!

Life is pretty good on my end :) My last tests showed that a lot of scar tissue from the RA is what is causing my breathing troubles, and asthma doesn't help...especially living on a mountain, lol. Anyway, I'm counting my blessings as the results could have been far more ominous.

My daughter, granddaughter, and I had an awesome time going to Nashville, Tn and seeing the Disney's On Ice - Frozen!! It was the first time I've ever been to the Bridgestone Arena, and wow was it packed for that show. You can imagine how excited my little granddaughter was, hehe. We ate later at the Hard Rock Cafe...a bit expensive, but we just wanted to say we'd been there ;) And the sidewalks were 'alive' with music, parties, bars, and even horse carriage rides. Not at all like when I grew up there and the sidewalks rolled in at 6 o'clock pm. Lots of Muscians all along the way

Hahaha me too!!!! I ended up making a pumpkin pie this weekend. It used very little sugar and fats, so it's not totally unhealthy. Can't call pie healthy.

I'm in the same city, but bigger house....a little too big. Will prob move again in a couple years.

I miss the forums on MB, but there are some aspects that I don't miss, lol :)

Katy-Keene , - 19/09/2014 04:26 :

Hi! I have been doing pretty good thanks! How have you been? I'm liking the site, but it's still not the same...*sigh* lol!

I have been keeping busy, we've moved again and Mackie is now in 3rd grade!

Anywho, I'm so happy to see you here! I'm looking forward to catching up :)

Talk soon!

Punapkin is in the same family as butternut squash and acorn squash. It tastes similar to those but not exactly like them. Whoopie pie is like dense cake made into cookie shape, and you sand which a filling in between them, which is normally sonething frosting like. I've made pumpkin whoopie pies before. Pumpkin is awesome in baked goods and in curries, stews, soups, etc.

I never came across her, I usually end up looking at vegan stuff so maybe that's why?

mmm almonds make everything awesome. I have an almond cake recipe I need to veganize. I've just been lazy.

Dragonfly , - 17/09/2014 16:38 :

All sorts of stuff! I generally follow recipies from cookbooks or online (vegan obviously). I made a pumpkin pie last night, going to make a pumpkin loaf tonight. And probably pumpkin oatmeal cookies, I had a lot of homemade pureed pumpkin in the freezer to use before it gets too old.

Hubbie likes me to make whoopie-pies, so those get made regularly. Whole wheat chcocolate chip cookies, black and white cookies, chocolate chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin cookies, chocolate cake / cupcakes, carrot cake. And muffins, bran muffins, blueberry muffins, corn muffins.

I've been looking at British recipies here and there because American recipies are heavy on the sugar, I usually reduce it some with no ill effects, but I want to reduce some recipies more and have to adjust my dry to liquid ratio, which is a pain.

Gotcha, it's like a storage & distribution center. I was thinking of a retail store devoted solely to grains, and how that would be really cool. It's still cool though! I've been baking a lot lately so everything food related fascinates me.

Dragonfly , - 16/09/2014 21:37 :

This must be a cultural thing, but what is a grain store? I am assuming that they sell flour and uh, well grains?

Dragonfly , - 16/09/2014 21:29 :

Hahaha thank you! It's kind of weird how it bought out people that know me for me, and those that didn't. No one that knew me well was surprised at all, only people that didn't know me well seemed upset that I didn't have a big ol' party.

Welcome to the boring world of adulthood and work! LOL. Just kidding. What do you do?

Dragonfly , - 16/09/2014 21:20 :

Nope, we got married in January. He asked and I was like ok lets see when Clutch is playing, went to City Hall on a Friday and the next day we went to the concert. (We met at a Clutch concert). It was cold and rainy and gray and I wore black dress:) Hubbie's family is still asking when we're having a party, and I'm like um, never.

Are you still in school?

Dragonfly , - 16/09/2014 21:13 :

Also sad that summer is over! I don't like the cold, and last winter all I did was shovel snow.

I got married! Did a city hall dinner with the parents thing.
