Hi hi hi, jumping in really quickly as I have been planning to keep up with the good times of contests, and currently have a few things in the backlog. 1st would be the previously mentioned Aurora Archives, and the second thing closest to being finished is another season of Bridgerton (new cast on my end). Let me know if you're interested, and in what.

Regarding the timeline, I'm attending a destination wedding happening in October, and trying to either start one round before that, or on the same week (post-wedding, ofc). I'd hate to commit to anything prior, other than perhaps hosting a casting round.

As usual, I'd appreciate your opinions - whoever is alive and kicking here

Life has been hectic lately and as it seems at this point, I won’t be able to host anything before the end of the month.

Hola, hello, hiya... long time no see/write/read. Hope all are well, just maaaybe getting to a point in my life where I can pop back here and try to get reinvolved with things. Renetering the chat - I'm still working on Aurora Archives, the concept is here, but the inner works are elusive atm.

Still, I would love to host something, and currently I would like to begin something in December (no trips, no conferences, even a few days off), which should not clash with Dare's hosting and would love to coordinate.

The concept is quite simple.

It is December of 1815, and it's a year unlike any other.

After a royal mourning delayed the traditional spring Season, society has found itself gathered instead amid the snows of Hampshire, where the Dowager Countess of Rosewood was granted the biggest honour anyone has seen in a while: to host a very special Season.

Rosewood Hall, long dormant since her husband’s passing, is bound to be transformed into a glittering sanctuary of music, intrigue, and candlelight. Its halls glow with the warmth of laughter, though outside, frost crowns the rose gardens and snow hushes every scandal... at least until the next waltz.

Invitations, sealed with crimson wax and the mark of a winter rose, have been dispatched to the most promising families of the ton. Don't forget to RSVP!

As the biggest fan of the idyllic winter aesthetic, I would like to translate the whimsical, playful, romantic vibes of Diamonds, Ballrooms, Scandals, and Rakes aka. Bridgerton-esque universe, with the glistening, snow-covered, fireplace-crackling vibes of holiday season. I'm considering doing some general claims within families to make things easier, maybe, but if this is not something that interests you, I'm okay with this, too.

So...what I have planned is shaping up to be less straightforward than I hoped but if y'all are up for it a bit of mystery could be fun. Let me know before I completely run amok lol.

Here with a short update regarding the December contest, based on the replies given. Let's get into it.

This contest, The Season at the Rosewood Hall: Love at Yuletide will take place in December, and I'll ask EA for a long round permission, so we don't mess with anyone's holiday season.

Unlike the first regency contest, you will have the option to be invited for the season, or your character might be there by chance. Finding love, however, is always an option.

Given our current track record of writing, I'll try to implement some mechanisms to help us from falling behind; not sure what those are right now.

Based on the feedback, I've prepared a total of 8 claims, and will not add more beyond this. You are always free to create your own character. I'll see when to place the claim/casting round; this is a TBD. However, the spoiler below contains the current (and hopefully last) version of the claim.

I'm still overthinking my cast when it comes to male FCs, but my female FCs are: Antje Trane (as Countess Adair), Viktoriya Solovyova (as Margot), Matilda De Angelis (as Ellie), Crystal Clarke (as Ginny), and Charithra Chandran (as Arabella).

The total no. of extras is 12.

Claim

Might do soft reservations, but it'll be more fair to claim in December.

1. Miss Theodora Thorne
American heiress, daughter of Elias Thorne, nicknamed the Iron Baron. She is new money (and a lot of it). Father is a railroad industrialist, her mother an ambitious socialite wanting to marry her daughter off into British aristocracy. Coming from a similar background and stepping into similar ambitious plans set by their parents, she's friends with Ginny Green.

She's here for the season, orders of her family - at least for now.
   
2. Lady Cecily Huntington
Younger, older or twin sister of Arabella Huntington, which puts her into a unique position of being either younger or older sister of the assumed diamond of the season, or diamond of the season with her twin (given the personality matches). More about the family dynamic is written within Arabella’s bio, and please make sure to consider Arabella’s FC when choosing your own, given they are related.

She's here for the season.
   
3. Miss Verity Jaxley
Younger sister of Alaric Jaxley is coming to Rosewood Hall to reunite with her brother for the holidays. Or, perhaps she aims to charm Dowager Countess Adair into taking her into her mentorship for her skills? Or, perhaps she aims to take the opportunity to marry well, not to have to return to live with her aunt in the countryside, which was not the life she liked, at least at this point; who knows what might happen? Whatever path you choose, please make sure you fit the age limitation and take into consideration Alaric’s FC.

4. Lady Bianca Cattaneo
Italian royal, Countess Adair's cousin twice removed, sister (younger or older) to Leone Cattaneo. Supposed to be visiting for the Yuletide, and a bit more. She is coming to the court with her brother, the future Duke of Mantua. Siblings are not aware that there is a whole season happening at the Rosewood Hall, but their cousin would still like them to stay and participate. Bianca can be promised to someone, or not yet out in society, whatever you wish. Please make sure to consider Leone’s FC when choosing your own.

She's not here for the season, but can be curious.

   
5. Lady Marianne Vale
Daughter of the Baron of Kent, whom everyone thought would marry Lord Julian Lockwood, as they were close to the engagement, but it fell through in the end. While there was no scandal tied to her, she never had the closure with Julian (perhaps she did not need it?), and they haven’t seen each other since his sister died a year ago, which was why he left London in the first place. It's worth noting their match was not a love match before, but no one is sure what the future has in store.

She's here for the season.
   
6. Miss Lucinda Fitzthomas, called Lucy
Illegitimate daughter of the late Count Thomas Adair, taken in when she was only a girl. While most would frown upon such an arrangement, Countess Adair took a liking to the little girl who had been made an orphan at an early age. While Count Adair once toyed with the idea of legitimising her, he decided against it, but instead set her up with a rather comfortable life: a yearly allowance, a small household and even some horses - all to be given to her in the following year. While Evelina would have been content in legitimising her and even raising her as her own child, she never dared to go against Thomas’ wishes. There is no FC for the late Count, so you are free to choose your FC. She would be a friend to Robin, who has been living at the Rosewood Hall since early childhood.

By the looks of it, she will join the season.
   
7. Lady Frances Cavell
The only daughter of the Earl of Grantham, whose wife was a close childhood friend of Countess Adair. Nothing bad happened, but they had lost touch until Lady Cavell showed up for Count Adair’s funeral, and they slipped back into the friendship easily, even going so far as to arrange a few visits to Rosewood Hall before the renovation began. You can decide if you will be joining the season, or if you are simply there for the Yuletide festivities, and see how it goes from there.

She's here for the season.
   
8. Lady Inez de Ayala
Originally, Dona Inez, daughter of Conde de Santillana. She’s the other step-sibling of Robin Monteil, the child her mother had out of wedlock. While she hasn’t met Robin yet, she is aware of his existence as her mother guarded the secret with her when she found some letters years ago. Your story could have Inez do some correspondence with Robin prior to her visit, or her visit could be arranged with Evelina and her mother without previous contact. Robin does not hold ill feelings toward her. She could be older or younger, but they should be at least 2 years apart.

She's not here for the season, but can be curious.
